Kathryn and Andrew’s wedding day on June 8, 2019 was a reflection of who they are together. Thoughtful, joyful, and filled with intention. From the first time they began planning their day, it was clear that every detail mattered to them. Not in a way that felt overwhelming, but in a way that showed how much they value meaning, family, and the experience they were creating for everyone involved.
Kathryn and Andrew approached their wedding with a clear vision. They knew how they wanted the day to feel, and every choice they made supported that. There was a balance between structure and spontaneity that allowed the day to flow naturally while still holding onto the moments that mattered most.
Before the ceremony, Kathryn and Andrew chose to see each other for the first time at the Art Gallery of Alberta. This moment created space for them to pause and take in the significance of the day together.
When they saw each other, there was an immediate sense of calm and connection. The anticipation of the day softened into something more grounded. It became less about what was coming next and more about the fact that they were in it together.
This time together carried through as they moved into the next part of the day.
Their ceremony took place at St. Joseph’s Basilica, a space that brought a sense of tradition and significance to the day. As guests gathered and the ceremony began, there was a noticeable shift in the atmosphere.
When Kathryn walked down the aisle, the moment felt powerful in its simplicity. All attention turned toward her, and then toward the two of them together. Standing at the front of the basilica, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them, everything felt grounded.
Their vows were heartfelt and sincere, reflecting a relationship built on trust, humour, and shared experiences. There was emotion in the room that did not need to be amplified. It was present in the way they looked at each other, in the reactions of their families, and in the quiet understanding of what this moment represented.
As the day moved into the evening, the celebration continued at the Art Gallery of Alberta. The space brought a modern and vibrant energy that contrasted beautifully with the tradition of the ceremony.
Guests were welcomed into an atmosphere filled with warmth and excitement. Conversations carried across the room, laughter came easily, and there was a sense of anticipation for the evening ahead.
Kathryn and Andrew made their entrance with a sense of joy that was shared by everyone present. It set the tone for a reception that felt both lively and meaningful.
The reception was filled with moments that reflected the relationships surrounding Kathryn and Andrew. Speeches offered a glimpse into their story through the eyes of family and friends. There was humour, there was emotion, and there was a consistent thread of how deeply they are loved.
As the evening continued, the celebration grew in energy. The dance floor became a place where everyone could come together and share in the joy of the day. It was not about perfection or performance. It was about connection and being present in the moment.
Kathryn and Andrew’s St. Joseph’s Basilica wedding was not defined by any single part of the day. It was the way everything came together that made it meaningful. From the thoughtful details in the morning to the quiet moments they shared, to the ceremony and the celebration that followed, every piece contributed to a story that felt whole.
Their wedding was a reflection of their relationship. It was intentional, joyful, and grounded in something real. It brought together tradition and personality in a way that felt seamless.
Most importantly, it was a day that stayed true to who they are. A day filled with connection, laughter, and emotion that will continue to hold its meaning for years to come.
“We found out about Pulse Productions through a friend who hired them for her wedding a few years ago. We hired Pulse Productions in December for our June 8 wedding. We booked the Crystal Wedding Package for photography and videography. Overall, we enthusiastically recommend Pulse Productions for wedding photography and videography. From my (bride’s) perspective, my favourite thing that Pulse Productions did for us is the highlight video reel that was prepared for us in advance of our photos being ready. I literally sobbed when I watched it for the first time because it captured the memories so well. A close second are the formal photos from our photoshoot at the University of Alberta. Not only did the photos turn out absolutely stunning, but the taking of the photos proceeded in an orderly (and timely) fashion thanks to the direction of Jenn and Nick, even though some of our wedding party members needed more wrangling than others (groomsmen!). I found the team to be very patient and professional, but we also had fun! I will also note that Jenn was completely willing to be flexible and make my photo dreams come true. A couple of times I described something that I really wanted, but wasn’t sure if it was possible and Jenn was willing to work to make it work. The Pulse Productions team is experienced enough that I had absolute faith that they could execute my photographic vision. In the end, we have hundreds of gorgeous photos from our wedding from start to end and full videos of all the parts of the wedding that we might wish to re-watch. There are so many dynamite shots that I am legitimately having trouble just picking just one for my desk at work! We have only good things to say about Pulse Productions. We recommend them wholeheartedly. “
