Set at the charming Sherwood Park Log Cabin, their wedding day blended romance, elegance, and genuine emotion into a celebration that felt beautifully personal from beginning to end. From the quiet anticipation of morning preparations to the joy that filled the dance floor later that evening, every chapter of their day reflected who they are as a couple.
Getting Ready in Sherwood Park
The day began at the Sherwood Park Holiday Inn, where Chantal and her bridal party shared laughs, final touches, and meaningful moments before the ceremony. Thoughtful details helped tell the story of the day, including rings, jewelry, invitations, shoes, and sentimental keepsakes carefully prepared for photographs. The morning carried a calm excitement as bridesmaids gathered in matching robes and family helped Chantal into her gown before heading to the ceremony.
Saying “I Do” at the Sherwood Park Log Cabin
Their indoor ceremony at the Sherwood Park Log Cabin Wedding venue created an intimate atmosphere filled with emotion and music. Family and friends watched as Odell made his entrance with his mother, followed by their wedding party, before Chantal walked down the aisle with her father to a beautiful piano rendition of Turning Page.
Special readings from loved ones and live piano music added a heartfelt touch to the ceremony, while meaningful moments such as the exchange of vows, signing of the marriage licence, and their joyful first kiss made the afternoon unforgettable. One of our favourite moments was their dip kiss halfway down the aisle during the walkout, a perfect blend of romance and celebration.
We had the privilege of photographing the entire day while also filming key moments, including their ceremony, wedding party, and couple formals, and formal dances. Capturing both still and moving memories allowed us to preserve the emotion and atmosphere of their celebration in a way that felt authentic and true to them.
Wedding Party & Couple Formals at Smeltzer House
Following family photographs in the beautiful green space beside the Log Cabin, Chantal and Odell travelled with their wedding party to the historic Smeltzer House and gazebo for formals. The setting offered a perfect backdrop with mature trees, romantic pathways, and timeless character that complemented their wedding style beautifully.
Their bridal party brought a relaxed and playful energy to the session, while Chantal and Odell shared quiet moments together that reminded everyone exactly what the day was all about. These portraits captured not only how stunning they looked, but also the connection they share.
Celebrating Into the Evening
The celebration continued back at the Sherwood Park Log Cabin with a warm reception filled with dinner, heartfelt speeches, cake cutting, and formal dances before opening the dance floor. Their grand entrance through the patio doors and candid reactions throughout the evening created so many memorable moments to photograph.
From emotional toasts to their first dance and parent dances, the reception was filled with laughter, happy tears, and the kind of energy that reminds us why we love documenting weddings so much.
