From downtown skylines and river valley lookouts to historic venues and backyard celebrations, we capture weddings in Edmonton with a true-to-life style that lets your day unfold naturally.
Your wedding will move quickly. Your film lets you hear it, watch it, and experience it again. Pulse Productions Inc. provides wedding videography in Edmonton with a documentary-first approach built around real moments, genuine reactions, and the people who make your day yours.
From the nerves before the ceremony to the vows, speeches, first dances and the energy of the reception, we film the parts of your wedding that photographs cannot preserve on their own: voices, movement, sound and the way a moment actually unfolded.
We have been documenting weddings for more than 20 years. Our approach is calm and unobtrusive when moments are happening naturally, with direction when it is useful. The goal is not to turn your wedding into a production. It is to create a film that still feels like your wedding years from now.
A good wedding film is more than a collection of pretty shots. It should bring back the rhythm of the day: the anticipation before you see each other, the pause before a vow, the laughter after a speech, the music during a formal dance and the reactions happening around you.
That is why we balance cinematic storytelling with documentary coverage. The highlight film tells the story in a concise, emotional way, while documentary films can preserve major events such as your ceremony, speeches and formal dances in much greater detail.
For Edmonton couples who care about both the feeling of the day and the words that were spoken, that combination gives you something polished to share and something complete to return to later.
The ceremony. The processional, vows, rings, first kiss and the reactions surrounding them are some of the most important moments to preserve with both picture and sound.
Vows and voices. We use dedicated audio recording so the words matter as much as the images. Hearing a partner, parent or grandparent years later can become one of the most valuable parts of a wedding film.
Portraits and in-between moments. Not every meaningful clip happens on the timeline. We watch for movement, glances, laughter and interactions that happen between the scheduled events.
Speeches and formal dances. Longer coverage can preserve the stories, jokes, music and reactions that make a reception personal.
The atmosphere. A wedding film should show more than the couple. Establishing footage, guests, details, movement and the energy of the room help the finished film feel like the day rather than a staged shoot.
Ceremonies only happen once, so we do not treat them like a single-camera highlight shoot. Depending on the wedding and coverage plan, we use multiple camera angles and dedicated audio sources to give the ceremony both visual variety and reliable sound.
That matters when a couple wants more than a few ceremony clips inside a highlight film. A documentary ceremony film is designed to let you sit down later and experience the vows, readings, reactions and key moments in sequence.
Edmonton weddings can move through very different environments in a single day: hotel preparations downtown, a church ceremony, portraits around the river valley or University of Alberta, then a reception in the city or one of the surrounding communities. Our job is to keep the visual story consistent while adapting to changing light, locations and timelines.
We have filmed weddings at and around Edmonton locations including the University of Alberta, St. Joseph’s Basilica, the Grand Imperial, downtown hotels and venues throughout the Edmonton region. We also regularly work in Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Fort Saskatchewan, Beaumont, Leduc, Spruce Grove and surrounding communities.
Our wedding films are built around real colour, natural emotion and the story already happening in front of us. We are not interested in making every wedding look identical or forcing a trend onto a day that should feel personal.
Some couples want a cinematic highlight they can watch and share easily. Others care just as much about having the complete ceremony, speeches or formal dances preserved. Our videography options are designed so you can choose coverage based on the moments you actually want to keep.
Before the wedding, we gather the details that affect filming: locations, ceremony rules, major events, important people and the moments you do not want missed. That preparation lets us arrive knowing what matters without turning the day into a checklist.
On the wedding day, we work around the natural flow of events and coordinate with your photographer, planner, DJ, officiant, and other vendors where needed. If we are also providing photography, photo and film are planned together so the two sides of the team are not competing for the same moment.
Pulse Productions Inc. serves Edmonton and weddings throughout Alberta without additional travel or accommodation fees. Whether your wedding is in central Edmonton, a nearby community, or farther across the province, travel within Alberta is already part of the service.
Popular summer Saturdays can book well in advance, so it is worth reaching out once your date and venue are confirmed. Availability matters more than a fixed booking window, especially if you have a specific coverage length or film package in mind.
Documentary ceremony coverage is available with qualifying videography packages. This is different from using selected ceremony clips in a highlight film because the documentary edit preserves the ceremony in sequence.
Speeches can be preserved as a documentary film with qualifying coverage. We also capture selected speech audio and reactions for use in cinematic storytelling where appropriate.
It should not. Most of the ceremony and reception is documented as it happens. We may give direction during portraits or when a specific shot would improve the film, but we do not want you repeating your wedding day for the camera.
Yes. We offer standalone wedding videography as well as combined photography and videography options.

If you are deciding whether video belongs in your wedding plans, think about what you would want to hear and watch again years from now. Your vows. A parent’s speech. The way your partner looked at you during the ceremony. The people on the dance floor. Those are the pieces film keeps moving.
